The University of Chicago Cancer Research Center (UCCRC), founded in 1973 under the leadership of the first director Dr. John E. Ultmann, was established as a multidisciplinary, matrix rogram of basic and clinical research in cancer. It is within this rich environment that our program in cancer is conducted.
